Summer Violin Recital

Jenna recently had her end-of-summer violin recital.
She played "5th Air Varie", and it was beautiful! 

There are a lot of neat parts to this song, but my favorite is when she is playing one string with the bow while strumming a chord with her left hand. It sounds like 2 instruments playing at the same time. Listen for it around 2:30 and again around 3:30. :)

At the end of each recital, Jenna's violin teacher has her students play this same song together. This time Jenna got to play the solo part. It was beautiful!

Our hearts are full of gratitude today for the blessing of our Christian schools,
and teachers who train up our children in the fear of the Lord.
We have much to be thankful for!

It’s official… Jenna turned 14, and passed her permit test.
We have a new driver in the house!

Colorado Road Trip

We recently took a road trip to Colorado to visit our family there.
